Shrimp Pasta is an elegant noodle dish that tastes great!It's quick and easy, and perfect for weekday dinners because it's ready in just 15 minutes.Serve it for a romantic evening, special occasion, or family dinner.
* Ingredients :
° 1 pound medium size shrimp, de-finned and tail removed
° 1 pound spaghetti pasta (more or less, depending on the size of the family)
° 6-8 garlic cloves, minced to personal taste
° 1/4 cup butter
° olive oil (3 sprays)
° Italian seasoning
° Freshly ground pepper
° red pepper flakes
° salt
° herbs (to taste)
* Directions :
1 Boil the pasta in water until tender, leaving 1 cup of pasta water for later use. I always put some oil, salt and fresh herbs with the pasta when I boil it. Drain and set aside when done.
2 While the pasta is boiling, wash the shrimp.
3 Melt the butter over a medium heat. Add shrimp.
4 Let cook until slightly pink and beginning to curl. Then add garlic.
5 Cook 5-7 minutes, add oil. Keep stirring until the shrimp are pink and wrapped.
6 Add the pasta to the skillet. Add spices. Add just enough of the reserved pasta water so it doesn't dry out but doesn't swim in the liquid either. Depending on the amount of pasta, that requires half a cup or all of that. Start adding 1/4 and then start from there.
7 Keep stirring all the ingredients in the pan until they are all blended and heated through.
