Scalloped potatoes



Baked Potatoes with Scallops is a simple, classic recipe that's perfect for Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving or Sunday.

* Ingredients :

° Half  c butter
° large onion, cut into cubes
° 2 cloves minced garlic
° ¼ cup flour
° Half a cup of milk
° 1 cup chicken broth
° Half a teaspoon of salt
° Half a teaspoon of pepper
° 3 pounds white potatoes, sliced ​​about 1 inch thick
° Salt and pepper as needed

* Directions :

Heat oven 350 degres F .

To prepare the sauce, melt the butter, onion and garlic over medium heat. Cook onion soft, about 3 minutes. Add flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Turn the heat down to low. Mix the milk and broth. Add a small amount while whisking to thicken. The mixture will become very thick, keep adding a little liquid while whisking until the mixture is smooth.
 
Once all the liquid has been added, bring it to a boil over medium heat while continuing to whisk. Add salt and pepper and let it boil for a minute.

Grease a 9×13 baking dish. Place half a potato on the bottom and season with salt and pepper. Pour half of the cream sauce over it.
Repeat the layers finished with the cream sauce. Covering & baking for 46 min .
 
Remove lid and bake for an additional 35-45 minutes or until golden brown and potatoes are tender. Roast about 4-5 min to get golden surface.
Permit to remain for 15 min before serve .
